Rachael M Bower is an artist & educator originally from Youngstown, Ohio. She lives in San Antonio & is an Assistant Professor and Art Department Coordinator at Northwest Vista College.
Her MFA in Studio Art/Printmaking is from Clemson University. She earned her BFA in Studio Art/Printmaking with a Certificate in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Ohio University. Throughout undergraduate school she worked for Ohio University's art galleries, was a printer's assistant and interned with the Kennedy Art Museum's print collection. Rachael spent a semester abroad during grad school in Genova, Italy. She studied art and architectural history at the Charles E. Daniel Center for Building Research and Urban Studies. She has taught in higher education since 2009. Rachael has been an international artist-in-residence at La Macina di San Cresci, Greve in Chianti, Italy (June 2010) & Terra Vivente in Guardia, San Framondi, Italy (July 2015).
